Chhattisgarh encounter.. Two Maoists killed.
An encounter in Chhattisgarh's Dandakaranya region results in the death of two Maoists, including a female Maoist. Kothagudem: Another encounter took place in the Dandakaranya region of Chhattisgarh. In this incident, two Maoists were killed. Based on intelligence that top Maoist leaders were present in the forests in the Kishtaram police station limits of Sukma district, a joint search operation was launched in the morning by Cobra, DRG, and district forces. During the operation, the Maoists, who were encountered, opened fire on the security forces. In response, approximately 500 security personnel surrounded the Maoists from all directions.
Upon the Maoist gunfire, the security forces responded with counter-fire. Four rounds of gunfire exchanges took place between both sides. Unable to withstand the forces, the Maoists continued firing while fleeing through dense forest paths. After the firing ceased, the security forces took control of the area and launched a search operation. During this, along with the two Maoists killed in the encounter, their weapons and other belongings were seized by the security forces. One of the deceased is reported to be a female Maoist. The security forces are intensifying their search operations in the area for more Maoists. Official confirmation on the complete details of the incident is still awaited.
